Activity Tolerance

« Back to Glossary Index

What does activity tolerance mean?

The term “Activity Tolerance” refers to certain Point of Sale activities that are intolerant. When you or another workstation are currently accessing the POS data file via another open document or window, the activity cannot be completed. These intolerant activities include installing a program update, editing company preferences, or restoring from a backup. An alert message is displayed if this applies to your activity. An incorrect shutdown of the program (like losing power) can also result in the alert message.
